FB Braves is built on experience, vision, and a commitment to developing athletes the right way. Led by AJ and Tony Flores, FB Braves brings together experienced coaches and baseball professionals committed to preparation, accountability, player development, and a lifelong respect for the game.

AJ Flores

AJ Flores founded FB Braves and leads the organization's vision, building on a lifelong passion for baseball and the foundation established alongside his father, Tony Flores.

As the Owner, Founder, and Program Director of FB Braves, AJ works with athletes of all ages to develop complete baseball players. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, baseball IQ, confidence, preparation, and competing with discipline and purpose.

AJ played professionally for the Salina Stockade of the Can-Am League and the Santa Fe Fuego of the Pecos League, where he was selected as a Pecos League All-Star in 2017.

During his collegiate career at William Paterson University, AJ earned All-American honors, 1st Team All-NJAC recognition, All Region honors, All-State Freshman Team honors, and All-Academic Team recognition. He finished among the program's top 10 career leaders in at bats, hits, triples, and stolen bases.

At West Orange High School, AJ was a 1st Team All-County and 1st Team All-Conference selection. Upon graduation in 2010, he held the school's single-season home run record.

AJ believes every practice should help players improve both their skills and their character. By creating a challenging, positive, and supportive environment, he helps athletes build confidence while learning the values that define FB Braves: hard work, accountability, teamwork, and respect for the game.

Tony Flores brings decades of baseball experience and professional baseball leadership to FB Braves.

After a successful career in professional baseball operations, Tony has dedicated himself to helping athletes develop through strong fundamentals, preparation, accountability, and a lifelong respect for the game.

Working alongside AJ, Tony helps shape the FB Braves player development philosophy and the standards that guide every athlete in the program.

Stephen Kubis brings a strong playing background and a passion for player development to FB Braves. A four-year varsity player at Wayne Hills High School, Stephen helped lead his team to a county championship before continuing his collegiate career at the University of Hartford.

He later transferred to William Paterson University, where he became a regular starter for the Pioneers and continued developing his understanding of the game at the collegiate level.

Today, Stephen works with FB Braves athletes through team practices and private instruction. His coaching focuses on strengthening fundamentals, building confidence, developing consistent habits, and helping players gain a deeper understanding of how to prepare and compete.

Stephen's goal is to help each athlete become a more complete player while creating a positive, challenging environment that supports long-term development.

KC Abel brings more than 15 years of baseball and softball coaching experience to FB Braves.

A former three-time All-County shortstop and two-time All-State selection, KC continued his playing career at William Paterson University, where he earned conference and regional honors.

Today, KC focuses on hitting development, baseball IQ, fielding, and helping athletes translate practice habits into game performance while building confidence and competing with a positive mindset.

Daury Rodriguez attended Cenapac HS in the Dominican Republic, where he was invited to multiple MLB showcases.

After graduating, Daury continued his baseball career at the County College of Morris, which ultimately led to him signing to play at William Paterson University. During his first year with the Pioneers, Daury threw 23 innings for the pitching staff while striking out 9 batters.

Today, Daury works with FB Braves players through pitching instruction and private lessons, helping athletes develop their mechanics, confidence, and understanding of the game.

His instruction focuses on building confident pitchers who understand preparation, mechanics, and how to compete in game situations.

Jay Tiseo, Baseball Development Coach

Jay Tiseo

2x First Team All-State • William Paterson • High School Coach

Jay Tiseo brings a lifetime of baseball experience and a passion for player development to FB Braves.

A standout athlete at Bloomfield High School, Jay was a two-time First Team All-State baseball player and helped lead his team to multiple championships, including the 1996 Group 4 Section 2 Championship and GNT Championship. He set the Bloomfield single-season hits record with 58 hits, a record that still stands today.

Jay continued his playing career at William Paterson University, where he was a four-year starter, two-year captain, and recipient of the Lou Greco Memorial Award for dedication and leadership.

Following his playing career, Jay built an extensive coaching background at the high school and collegiate levels. He has coached at Bloomfield, West Orange, Glen Ridge, Millburn, and Passaic Valley, and served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at William Paterson University working with hitters and infielders.

Today, Jay helps FB Braves athletes develop their skills, baseball IQ, confidence, and preparation habits needed to succeed at every level of the game.
